Arthur R. Niklason, 76 years died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at his home in West Bridgewater after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, he attended Brockton schools and was the son of the late Arthur J. and Mary C. (Scriven) Niklason. He retired in 1985 as a Lt. from the Brockton Fire Dept. after 32 years. During WW II he served in the US Navy, and was stationed in Japan. He enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Niklason of Quincy, one son, David Niklason of West Bridgewater, two grandsons, David and Matthew Niklason of West Bridgewater and a daughter in law Kimberly.
He was the husband of the late Mildred A. (Vincent) Niklason.
A Graveside Service was held on Tuesday at Melrose CemeteryBrockton. Donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 14 Page Terrace, Stoughton, MA 02072.
