Geneva Johns Fulford, 65, of Fitzgerald died Friday, March 30, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 3, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Earlie Holt and the Rev. Ronald Parks officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro, GA. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fulford was born January 23, 1947 in Coffee County to the late William V. and Blanche Mae McSwain Johns. Living in Fitzgerald most of her life, she was a homemaker and former employee of SWS, Fitzgerald Underwear and Douglas Foods, and was a caregiver to the sick and elderly. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Fulford of Fitzgerald; children: Angela Rose Smith, Roberta Jean Fulford, and Robert W. “Bobby” Fulford, Jr, all of Fitzgerald; 7 grandchildren; John Turner, Matthew Eden, Mark Eden, Luke Eden, Jordan Breese, Joey Fulford and Shyann Fulford; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Turner; sister: Rosetta J. Giddens of Fitzgerald; brothers: Willie V. Johns, Howard Lee Johns, Harley C. Johns , and James Franklin “Frank” Johns, all of Fitzgerald., Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Eden, a sister and a brother.
