G.W. “Bud” Amerson
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, March 29, 2012, Mr. George W. Amerson, 83, preceded in death by the love of his life Mrs. Nita Amerson.
Mr. Amerson was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and past member of Curtis Baptist Church. He was the past President and Co Owner of Sig Cox Heating and Air and the past President of the Exchange Club of Augusta. Mr. Amerson was a member of The Augusta Country Club and loved to play golf.
Family members include daughter: Lisa Amerson and friend Jill Owens of Evans; sister: Mary Pitzer of Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel with Dr. Greg Deloach officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Exchange Club of Augusta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta at 3500 Walton Way Ext. Augusta, GA 30919.
