Pittsburgh, PA – Antoinette M. (Robitaille)Vaine, 102, a long-time resident of Manchester, passed away after a short illness March 29, 2012 at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Pittsburgh PA.
She lived most of her life in Manchester and was, in her younger years, a notable singer in the area. She worked in a clerical capacity at such companies as JF McElwain and was a devoted wife and mother.
She was the widow of her dear husband of many years, Theodore Vaine. She is survived by her son Frank and his wife Gloria of Atlanta, GA and her daughter Marguerite and her husband Ronald of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother Jules Robitaille of Manchester, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a witty and jovial person who enjoyed her family and friends immensely. She credited laughter and camaraderie as the secret to happiness and longevity. When she was around her cousins from Nashua telling stories and jokes, the laughter could be heard a long way off. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A calling hour will take place on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester. The funeral will be held at 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
