Randolph A. “Randy” White, 63, of Hogansville, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County with the Rev. Boe Schofill officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. White was born January 10, 1949 in Fitzgerald to Geraldine Adams White Evans and the late H.W. “Pee Wee” White. He grew up in Irwin County where he attended Irwin County High School. He did further studies at Troy State University. Mr. White was a retired Road Master with CSX Railroad and had lived in Douglasville, Birmingham and Montgomery. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Schofill White of Hogansville; sons & daughters-in-law, DaWayne and Kim White, DaWendall and Tracy White, all of Hogansville; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Chad Crutchfield of Valley, AL; mother and step-father, Geraldine Adams White Evans and Kirk Evans of the Lands Crossing community; brother, Derrell & Sherry White of Heard County; sister, Elaine & George McCraney of Irwinville, GA; 8 grandchildren , as well as, several nieces and nephews. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, DaLinda White and a brother, W.L. White.
