Rebecca Rowe, 81, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Rowe was born on April 12, 1930 to the late James and Rose Anne Waldron Henderson and she is the widow of Willis Rowe. She was employed by Elixer Industries in the constructing of window screens for mobile homes and she was a member of Tanner Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Metts Cemetery in Alapaha, GA.
Survivors include: daughter: Diane Strickland, Douglas, GA; son: Arter Junior Stapleton, Douglas, GA; grandson: Marty Meeler, McRae, GA; great granddaughter: Laci Dover, McRae, GA and sister: Lillian Tanner, Douglas, GA.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
