Doran, Marjorie (Westgate), a long time Montclair resident who lived in Hanover, NH, and Newton, Massachusetts later in life, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2012. She was 96.
Marge was active in the Montclair Red Cross, especially as Director of the Service to Military Families, a Trustee of Planned Parenthood of Newark, NJ, Chairman of the Coalition of Montclair Town Agencies Shelter Project of the United Way, Directress of the Altar Guild of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, and President of the Brookside School Parents’ Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Marianne Steinhacker and her husband Bob of Marathon, FL, and Skowhegan, ME, Pat Schaum and her husband Fred of Santa Fe, NM, and K. Brewer Doran of Beverly, MA; six grandsons, Kent and Christopher Schaum, Toby MacCary, and David, Daniel and Michael Steiinhacker; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Yamawaki Center of Lasell College in Newton, MA, on April 28th at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to Lasell College, Office of Institutional Advancement, 1844 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, MA. 02466.
