Obituary

Gilda T. Antolini, 82 of Medford and West Yarmouth died Monday after a brief illness at home in West Yarmouth.

Born in East Boston, she was raised and educated in Somerville and moved to Medford 1955 and was the daughter of the late Frances C. (Marchitelli) and Daniel Pantano.

Gilda started working at Medford City Hall at the age of 17 and worked her way up to become the Executive Secretary for the Medford Retirement Board. She retired in 2003 after 46 years of service to the City of Medford. Mrs. Antolini was an active parishioner and sang in the choir at St. Joseph Church in Medford. She loved to paint, bike ride, loved music and playing the piano. Gilda was also a great fan of the Red Sox.

The beloved wife of the late Armand A. Antolini, she was a devoted mother to Mark Antolini and his wife Janine of Wilmington, NC, Victor Antolini and his wife Nancy of Lynnfield, Lisa Hales and her husband Kris of Carlisle. She is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren, 1 loving great- grandchild and her sister Beatrice Bacon of Centerville.

Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Gilda’s name to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, 255 Independence Dr., Hyannis, MA 02601.
