Obituary

Donald P. Reardon, 76, of Worcester, died Saturday, March 24th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Patricia A. (Wrightson) Reardon; three sons, Dennis J. Reardon of Grafton, Kevin M. Reardon and James P. Reardon, both of Worcester; three brothers, Richard P. Reardon of Boylston, John P. Reardon and Gerald Reardon, both of Worcester; a sister, Virginia McInerney of Worcester; three grandchildren, Ryan, Brianna, and Morgan Reardon, all of North Grafton. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Joseph Reardon.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Dennis J. and Katherine (Scanlon) Reardon and lived here all his life. He was a guard at the Worcester House of Correction for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He later worked for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for more than 10 years. Mr. Reardon was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, the Massachusetts State Retirees Association, and was a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

The funeral is Wednesday, March 28th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:30 A.M. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, March 27th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
