Boylston--Steven J. Macora, 84, of Boylston, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in Autumn Village Nursing Home. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Olive A. (Bullard) Macora, 2 sisters, Barbara Macora and Helen Macora both of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Stanley and William Macora and a sister, Mary Mcauliffe predeceased him.
Mr. Macora was born in Clinton, son of James and Mary (Sawicki) Macora and lived in Boylston for many years. He received his MS degree from North Eastern University. Steve was an Accountant and a Chemist and managed an office at the Wyman Gordon Worcester Office. He retired with 30 years of service in 1976. He was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church, a member of the Boylston Seniors and the Wyman Gordon Retirees. He loved spending summers at his camp on Bare Hill Pond in Harvard.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 14, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester with a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
