Antonio M. Frias, age 71 of Tiverton, RI, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on March 23, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Ponte) Frias. Born in Ponta Garça, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Manuel Pacheco Frias and the late Maria dos Anjos (Matos) Frias. Prior to retiring, Mr. Frias worked 34 years for the Plymouth Rubber Co. as a Machine Operator. He was also a communicant of St. Michael Church.
Antonio was the father of Ashley Marie (Frias) Melo, husband Mark of Tiverton and the late Dolores Frias; the grandfather of Sophia Rose Melo; the brother of Antero M. Frias of Fall River, Maria Moniz & Fatima Frias, both of Westport, the late Manuel M. Frias & the late Jose Frias; and the uncle to several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on TUESDAY here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on MONDAY from 6-9 P.M.
