Obituary


Alice R. “Reggie” Fennessey ( MacGregor) died peacefully on March 21, 2012, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was 85 years old.

Reggie grew up in Dedham and attended Dedham schools. On April 21, 1946 she married the love of her life, John A. Fennessey. She worked for many years as a cafeteria manager for Canton Public Schools at the John F. Kennedy school until retiring in 1994.

She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and the Canton Senior Center. Reggie was an avid bingo player at the Knights of Columbus in Canton, loved going to Foxwoods, and truly enjoyed spending time playing cards with family and friends.

Daughter of the late Willard and Mary MacGregor. Loving and devoted wife of the late John A. Fennessey. Loving mother of Sandra Dudley and her husband Robert of Sandwich, Regina Camarra and her husband Anthony of Canton, Jacqueline Diesso and her husband Steven of Wareham, Cheryl Kelliher and her husband Neil of Canton, and Eileen Micale and her husband Joseph of Norton. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St., Canton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton, Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
