Thaddeus grew up in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School for Boys, then later he settled in Weymouth with his wife Barbara to raise their family. Thaddeus was a dedicated Boston Police Officer for 23 years before retiring in 1979. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, crossword puzzles and trips to Foxwoods and the Florida Keys. Thaddeus was a member of the Boston Police Relief Retirement Association and a 20 year heart transplant recipient survivor from MGH. He wa a member of the Massachusetts National Guard and a Korean War Navy Veteran. Most of all Thaddeus loved his family, they were the cornerstone of his life. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Thaddeus may be made to New England Organ Bank, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
