Obituary

Marcel A. Lariviere, 59, of Railroad St., Manville, died Friday evening at Woonsocket Health Center.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Gaston and Jeannette (Boisvert) Lariviere. Marcel was a lifelong resident of Manville.
He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1971.
Marcel worked as an auto mechanic and also as a landscaper for B&L Landscape of Manville.
Marcel possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of all types of automobiles and had a natural knack for repair procedures. His passion for the auto world transcended into being a fan of auto racing and regularly attending car shows.
Marcel was a member of the Enrico Caruso Club and the Manville Sportsmen’s Club. He was a staunch fan of the Red Sox.
He is survived by a brother Normand Lariviere of Manville, three sisters, Denise Dufresne of Woonsocket, Susan Lariviere Lanctot of Cumberland, and Lucy Farrell of Manville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are omitted.
