Obituary

Edith E. (Pratt) Johnnene, 90, of Medway, died, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Milford Care & Rehabilitation. She was the wife of Walter A. Johnnene who died in 1998.

Born in Franklin on July 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Edith E. (Whitehouse) Pratt.

Mrs. Johnnene was a resident of Medway for the past 60 years. She grew up in the Caryville section of Bellingham and graduated from Milford High School.

Mrs. Johnnene was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the WAVES from 1943-1945 and was a lifetime member and past-commander of the American Legion Post #367 in Medway.

She worked at the former Packard Mills in Caryville from 1951-1963.

Mrs. Johnnene was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband.

She was the sister of the late Walter Pratt and is survived by her sister-in-law Helen Pratt of Medway.

She is also survived by her nieces, Carol, Shirley and Karen Pratt, all of Medway and her nephew, Walter Pratt and his wife Patricia and their children, Amy, Alison and Alex, all of Millville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, March 23 at 11 a.m. officiated by her nephew, Rev. Bob Johnnene, OFD in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 - 11 a.m.
