Dotsie Humphreys Taylor, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, April 9, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. John K. Mobley officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Sunday evening.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 14, 1943 in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late William W. Humphreys and Dorothy Maddox Humphreys. She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Taylor was a former Paraprofessional at Fitzgerald Elementary School, former school bus driver and a former employee of Scott’s Flower Shop. She was active in the Fitzgerald Department of Leisure Services for many years.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her three sons: Harvey Taylor and James Taylor, both of Fitzgerald and Larry Taylor, of Irwin County; seven grandchildren; one brother: J.L. “Skeeter” Humphreys, Durham, NC. Her husband, Harris Taylor preceded her in death.
