Obituary

Hipolito Ortiz, Jr., 56, of Ashland, formerly of Framingham, passed away on March 17, 2012 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. He was the beloved husband of Rosa (Camacho) Ortiz with whom he shared 33 years of marriage.

Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Hipolito Ortiz Rodriguez and Catalina (Santiago) Ortiz who passed away last month in Puerto Rico. Mr. Ortiz settled in Framingham in 1961. He attended the Framingham Public Schools and was a graduate of the Joseph P. Keefe Technical School in Framingham. Mr. Ortiz was employed as an assembler for Snap-on-Tools for 30 years. A loving husband, brother, and friend to all he came in contact with, Mr. Ortiz had an infectious laugh, was extremely warm hearted, and brought joy to everyone he came in contact with. He was a very responsible man who always gave 100% dedication to everything that he did. Family was paramount in his life and he was also an avid New England Patriots fan.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ortiz is survived by 3 sisters, Iris Feliciano of Ware, NH, Lucia Ortiz of Jamaica Plain, and Santos Pagan of Puerto Rico; 2 brothers, Benny Ortiz and Guillermo Ortiz both of Puerto Rico; his parents-in-law, Tomas and Gloria Camacho of Deltona, FL; his dear great-nephew Robert Rivera of Orlando, FL and many other loving nieces and nephews; and his friend Ahquen “Louie” Liu, Jr. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Manuel and Elmo Ortiz.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Mr. Ortiz’s visiting hours on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK. The funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at a time to be announced to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia’s Church, 55 Esty St. Ashland at a time to be announced. Burial will be private.
