SALEM- Annie T. “Ann” Zdancewicz, 87, of Salem, wife of the late John J. Zdancewicz, Sr., died Friday morning, April 9, 2004 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Margaret (Solan) Bean.
Prior to her retirement in the mid 1980's, she was employed at Unitrode in Salem. She was previously employed at the General Electric Company in Lynn and later at GTE Sylvania in Salem.
A resident of Salem since 1933, Mrs. Zdancewicz was a communicant and active parishioner of the St John The Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, The Booster’s Club and various organizations in support of the parish and its school. She was a member of the St Joseph Society, PRCU #604, Salem.
She is survived by one son, John J. Zdancewicz, Jr. of Boston, two daughters and one son-in-law, Maryann C. Zdancewicz and Margaret D. and her husband Gerald H. Wilkens, all of Salem, three grandchildren, Eric P. Wilkens, MD and his wife, Pamela Roehm, MD, PHD, of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael J. Wilkens of Quincy, Megan D. Wilkens of Salem, a dear friend, Stephanie Roth of Quincy and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward Bean, Joseph Bean, Mary Bean and Margaret Gately.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
