Obituary

CHICOPEE – May Blanche (Guerin) Hebert, 96, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, March 10, 2012. She passed into Eternal Life from Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born on May 30, 1915 in the Village of West Warren in Warren, Massachusetts, a beloved daughter of the late John and Eva (Brodeur) Guerin. She moved to Chicopee in the 1930’s and lived in the Aldenville section of the city since 1951. She was last employed in the cafeteria for the Chicopee Public Schools. She was a member of the Aldenville Senior Center and a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by: her beloved husband, Rolland J. Hebert, who was Called Home on September 17, 1965; her cherished grandson, Jason W. Cote, who was Called Home on November 19, 1992; her son-in-law, Wayne F. Cote, who was Called Home on April 11, 2008; and her 10 siblings. She leaves her loving daughter, Joyce C. Cote and her husband, John J. Montesi, and her cherished grandson, John W. Cote, all of South Hadley. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee. Her burial followed the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee. There were no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee.
