Obituary

BEVERLY: Frank Vincent Giannino, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous three years battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the husband of Katherine (Vitale-Corriveau) Giannino and the late Anne (Imbriano) Giannino.
Born in Cambridge on March 31, 1930, he was the son of the late Placido and Lilla (Cappello) Giannino. He had resided in Saugus for many years.
Frank was employed for thirty-eight years as a civil engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Public Works. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, Sudoku and watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He loved his road trips to Florida and especially loved the time spent with his precious grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, he was the father of Theresa and her husband Mark Brown of Lynn, Kristina and her husband Shawn Kennedy of Georgetown; step-father of Philip Corriveau of Wakefield, Barbara Corriveau of Tallahassee, FL and Liliha Knapp of Wichita, KS; grandfather of Justin Kennedy, Joshua Kennedy and Chase Kennedy; step-grandfather of Dallas Knapp and Stellar Knapp. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Giannino and John Giannino and three sisters, Nancy Durso, Josephine Giannino and Frances Giannino.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church, New Balch St., Beverly at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
