Obituary

WORCESTER/STURBRIDGE – Carl R. Lind, 84 of Worcester, formerly of Sturbridge, died Wednesday, March 14th in Homestead Hall. His wife of 56 years, Pauline C. (Granville) Lind died in 2005. He is survived by his two daughters, Susan C. Tanona and her husband, John of Worcester and Patricia A. wife of Dr. Gary Jeznach of Sturbridge; and three grandchildren Kimberly, Matthew and Christopher Jeznach.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Hans B. and Rose (Boucher) Lind. Mr. Lind was a graduate of South High School and attended Clark University. He had been employed as a machinist by the former Sleeper and Hartley Manufacturing Company for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Mr. Lind was a former parishioner of St. Peter’s Church and St. Anne’s Church in Sturbridge. He was an accomplished pianist and entertained many at countless venues.

His funeral is Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Saturday, from 9:30 until the time of the funeral in the funeral home.
