Mary Pruitt Embry passed away on March 13, 2012 at Paintsville, Ky.
She was born on January 26, 1920, the daughter of Henry Pruitt and Mary Stinson Pruitt. She was a Southern Baptist and a retired elementary school teacher in Grayson and Jefferson Counties.
She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Embry for 58 years who preceded her in death, along with her parents, one brother, Harry Pruitt, and a very special aunt, Effie Pruitt Evans.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Odle (Dubbie), of Conway, SC, Charley Nunn, (Paul) Prestonsburg, Ky. and one son, Don Embry ,(Shirley), Mayfield, Ky. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. EDT Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Ky. with burial at Layman Cemetery, at Millwood, Ky. at 1:00 P.M.¬¬ CST.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.
