Obituary

Joseph E. Logue, Jr., age 87, a retired Chief Technician with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, died on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at his Natick home. He was the beloved husband of the late Suzanne (Betzinger) Logue.

Born, raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Alice E. (O’Brien) Logue. Joe began his employment with the MFA Photography Department in 1946, married, and lived several years in Brighton prior to settling in Natick in 1964. He retired as the Chief Darkroom Technician for MFA Photographic Services in 1987.

Joe was a great reader and history buff who could frequently be found at the Morse Institute Library in Natick. He also enjoyed meeting friends for coffee in the morning and visits with his extended family.

Predeceased by Suzanne in 2002, he is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, James Strife of Nebo, NC, Stuart Strife of So. Alburg, VT, Susan Pumilio of Ilion, NY, Robert Strife of West Chester, OH, Ann O’Leary of Charleston, SC, and Mark Strife of Clifton Park, NY; his devoted Goddaughter, Susan Panzica Ferguson of Watertown and her sister, Lisa Petrakos of Albuquerque, NM; many grandnieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews; and close friends.

His funeral service will be held at the grave he will share with his wife at Saint Patrick Cemetery, Pond Street, Natick, on Saturday, March 24th at 11:45a.m.
