Obituary

John F. Enos, Jr. formerly of Canton, of Stoughton passed away March 13th at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Born and raised in Edgartown, he graduated from Edgartown High School. He served in the Navy Seabees during WW II. He worked as Cement Mason for Local 534 in Boston for many years and served as the Vice President of Local 534 before retiring. After his retirement from the union, he was a Crossing Guard for the Stoughton Public Schools and enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid reader. He has lived in Stoughton for the last 10 years where he was a member of the Stoughton VFW and he previously lived in Canton for 38 years. Beloved husband of Joan E. (McDonald). Father of Jack Enos & his wife Mary of Sandwich, Judi Connors & her husband Danny of Sandwich, Sharon Penza & her husband Jim of Canton, Roderick Enos & his wife Lynne of Westford, Carol Hardy & her husband Robert of Sandwich, Mary Slattery & her husband Scott of Uxbridge, Mitchell Enos & his wife Donna of Stoughton & Wallie Ellis & her husband Richard of Sandwich. Brother of Richard Enos of Edgatown . Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren & many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at Holy Trinity Parish 246 Main St. W. Harwich Friday morning at 10. Burial Holy Trinity Cemetery, Harwich. Navy Veteran WW II.
