Stella (Filipowicz) Witunski of Canton passed away at home March 13th surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, daughter to Peter and Anna (Kaminski) Filipowicz she has lived in Canton for the last 51 years. A true senior advocate, working and volunteering for numerous senior issues and causes over the past 30 years. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Witunski, mother of Michael Witunski of Canton, Mark Witunski and his wife, Victoria, of Richfield, OH, Lorraine Witunski of Boston, Linda Witunski of Canton, and grandmother to Alexandra Witunski, Kirsten Witunski, M. Maxwell Witunski, Eric Witunski, and Kyle Witunski. Sister of Frank Filipowicz of GA, Louise Fues of VA & the late Jen Wojtasinski, Helen Prokop & Henry Filipowicz. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton, Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment private.
