Hilda S. (Rebello) Riley, 89, of Fairhaven died March 13, 2012 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late William E. Riley, Jr. with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Victor F. and Emily (Santos) Rebello, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Mrs. Riley was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven.
She was formerly employed by Bettencourt's Pharmacy, Mary J's Jewelry Store and Rogers Paint Store.
Mrs. Riley was a member of Douglas Weekly Wine Club and was the oldest member of Curves in Fairhaven. She enjoyed board games, card games and puzzles.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Paula St. Onge and her husband Will of Acushnet and Anne Marie Garcia and her husband Del of Fairhaven; a brother, Joseph Rebello and his wife Janice of Fall River; a sister, Aida Souza of New Bedford; 2 sisters-in-law, Elsie Rebello and Mary Robillard, both of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Kristine and Timothy; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Abel Rebello and Victor Rebello, Jr.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Road, Route 6, Mattapoisett Friday, March 16th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, March 15th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 78 Spring St. Fairhaven, MA 02719.
