Lottie Mae Harmon, age 86, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her home in Oxford, MS. She was born May 9, 1925 in Lafayette County to the late Roy Preston and Willie Shephard Ferguson. Before her retirement, Lottie worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of O'Tuckolofa Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Paris Cemetery in Paris, MS with Rev. Annette Ford officiating. Gerald Redwine, Larry Sprouse, Hubert Sanders, Bobby Andrews, David McPhail and Rufus Westmoreland will serve as pallbearers.
Lottie is survived by two daughters, Mackie Surrette of Lafayette County, MS and Teresa Kay Howell of Hamilton, AL; two brothers, Delano "Dee" Mize of Lafayette County, MS, and Jim Mize of Byhalia, MS; and one grandson, Ricky Surrette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew "Mack" Harmon.
