Obituary

CHARLTON: Donald S. Lapierre, 75, of 17 Reynolds Road died Monday, March 12 in his home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 21 years June K. (Butkiewicz) Lapierre, a son Gary Lapierre and his wife Pauline of FL, a daughter Debra Santilli of Port St. Lucie, FL, two brothers Gerald Lapierre of Newport, R.I. and his twin brother Roger Lapierre of Southbridge, two step-sons Scott Gale and his wife Becky and Jay Gale and his wife Jane of Charlton, a step-daughter Jill Lindgren and her husband Scott of Charlton, a grandson Gary R. Lapierre of FL, eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lapierre was born in Southbridge, son of Theodore and Sadie (Lorangie) Lapierre. He graduated from Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge and later served in the Mass. National Guard. He was a Cabinet Shop teacher at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton for 17 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Road Ext., Charlton. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Southbridge. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bay Path Regional High School, C/O Business Office, 57 Old Muggett Hill Road, Charlton, MA 01507. J.
