Robert Noel F. Russo, 72, known as Nick by all who knew him, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born on December 25, 1939, in Clinton, raised in Sterling, son of Josephine (Mollica) and Michaelangelo Russo. Prior to retirement, Nick was a long-distance truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Elaine A. (Fleming) Russo; two sons, Michael and Thomas Russo; a daughter, Christine Russo; a step-daughter, Lisa Cerulle and her husband James of Medfield and their children James Jr., Ryan, and Laura Cerulle; a step-son, Scott Erickson of Rutland, and several grandchildren. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Margery Fleming of Northboro; brother-in-law, Robert Fleming and his wife Elaine of Upton; sister-in-law, Paula (Fleming) Boule and her husband Stan of Shrewsbury; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Fleming (widow of Richard Fleming) of Londonderry, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The Russo family gives their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Richard Orino for his care and kindness throughout Nick's illnesses; Dr. Smith, his cardiologist; and a special thanks to Nick's Angel, Cathi Bartolini, NP; as well as all of his family and friends for their love and friendship through the years.
Following cremation, memorial visitation will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, on Friday, March 16, at 1:00 pm., concluding with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester MA 01606 or to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, E. Brookfield MA 01515.
