Obituary

Francis H. Tucker, 86 of Medford, died Sunday in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.

Born in Boston, he lived in Medford since 1973 and formerly of Charlestown. He was the son of the late Mary (Tucker) and Fred Peavy.

Francis worked as a Forklift driver at the Sears and Roebuck Warehouse in Allston for over 30 years and retired in 1990. After retirement he worked at Shaws Super Market in Medford for several years. A late U.S. Navy veteran of WW II and Korean War. He was a late member of the Medford VFW Post 1012, Marlboro American Legion Post 132, Arlington Retired Men’s Club, the Burlington Knights of Columbus Council 4978 and Sons of Italy.


Beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Mirabella) Tucker. Devoted father of Francis Tucker Jr. of San Diego, CA, Mary Raymond and her husband John of Marlboro, Thomas Tucker of NY. Loving grandfather of Nathan, Katie and Rachel Raymond of Marlboro. Brother of the late Fred Peavy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
