Krey, John W. age 95, of Dunedin, Fl, died Monday March 5, 2012 at Emeritus in Clearwater, Fl. Born 1916 in Dorchester to Minnie and Arthur Krey, he lived on Glen Street in South Natick, MA. He settled in Dunedin, Fl in 1973. John was a graduate of Andover; he received a BE from M.I.T. and an MBA from Boston University. He served in the 11th Bombardment Group in the Pacific retiring as Lt. Colonel. John was Associate Professor at BU Business School, then a business owner importing “Sunbeam” car parts and finally, an investor. Jack was a member of many clubs, including: Past Master of the Boston Lodge F.&A.M.; the Military Order of the World Wars; and the 11th Bombardment Group Association. He was a generous donor to Boston University and Lahey Clinic, among other institutions. He was married to the late Muriel (Fuller) Krey from 1969 until her death in 1987. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Krey. He is survived by nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on March 13, 2012 in Dunedin, Fl. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery,95 Forest Hills Ave. Boston on Friday March 16 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Dunedin, Fl.
