THOMPSON, Dale L.-Of Freedom, NH, passed away in Florida on March 8, 2012, after a long illness. He was 71. Beloved husband of the late Loretta M. (Parilla) Thompson. Loving father of Stephen A. and his wife Sonia of Myrtle Beach, SC, Brian M. and his wife Kerri of Estero, FL, and Christopher L. and his wife Alicyn of Winthrop. Cherished grandfather of Bobby Jean, Sean, Scott, Michael, Chelsea, Tess, and Julia. Dear brother of Paul and Rosemary Thompson of Phoenix, AZ. Dear brother in law of John Parilla of Winthrop. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop, on Wednesday, March 14th, at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John The Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Dale was a US Marine veteran, a member of the American Legion, and life member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #178. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved spending time at his home on Lake Ossipee. In his memory donations may be made to the Loretta M.
