Obituary

The family of Lennie Amirault sadly announces her death at Sawtelle Hospice Residence in Reading, MA, on March 9, 2012. Lennie was born on March 10, 1920 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family - parents, Ludger and Adeline LeBlanc, brothers Albert, Sylvester, Camille, Bona, Nelson and sisters Evelyn, Julie, and Geneva. She was also predeceased by her husband Emilier Amirault in 1970.
Lennie came to the USA in 1947 and has lived in Malden most of her life. For many years she worked as a nanny for the Weiner family’s children(grandchildren) -Sybil, Leah (Matthew,Melissa), Frances(Kate), and Debbie. As members of her extended family they have maintained close contact with her.
Lennie is survived by 14 nieces and nephews in the USA and Canada, and her special friend/cousin Yvonne LaCau.
She has touched the lives of many people. All who knew Lennie will remember her fondly as a unassuming person grateful for her many blessings.
Lennie was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Malden. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden on Friday, March 16th at 10 AM with Father William Minigan celebrant. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, Malden, MA or to VNA of Middlesex-East, Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
