Arlene E. (White) Asquith, 94, 16 Dyer Ave., Salem,NH, died Friday evening, March 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.

She was born June 9, 1917, in Newburyport, MA, the daughter of the late John C. and Mary E. (Colby) White. She was a long time resident of Salem, NH.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed on the assembly line at Western Electric of Andover,MA.

She was a member and Past Master of the Newbury Grange, Newbury,MA. She was also a 73 year member and Past Matron of Salem Chapter #57, Order of the Eastern Star, and had also served as Grand Representative of Massachusetts in NH.

Arlene was the wife of the late Donald Asquith, who died in 1957, and is survived by daughters, Carol A. Donahue of Ft. Collins, CO, and Judith L. Rozzi of Salem, NH; grandchildren, Pamela J. Ports of Austin,TX, Beth A. Janson of Atlanta, GA, Phillip J. Rozzi Jr. of Deering,NH, Donald M. Rozzi of Salem,NH, James S. Rozzi of Hooksett,NH, Brian P. Rozzi of Claremont,NH, Rebecca J. Asquith and Steven N. Asquith, both of Salem,NH; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen F. Asquith of Atkinson,NH, in 2004, and a grandson, Douglas M. Rozzi of Salem, NH, in 1976.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 13, 2012, from 6-9pm in the Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH, with an Eastern Star service to be held at 7:30pm. Burial will be private in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Methuen,MA.
