HYERS - Elizabeth "Beth" Hyers, 50, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at her Yulee, FL home. She was born December 7, 1961 in Alma, GA and moved with her family to Yulee in 1969.
Beth was an avid Georgia Dog fan. After graduating from college she was employed by Vistakon. She enjoyed fishing, softball, basketball, shooting pool and playing piano before she became disabled in 1992. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her father, Leon Hyers; four brothers, Bobby, Ronald, Willie and Malcom Hyers; a nephew, Kenny Paul Kicklighter; a great nephew, Grant Nobles and other family members.
Survivors include her mother, Aline Goodbread of Yulee, FL; six sisters, Latrell Trogdon (Bob), Sherry Taylor, Linda Johnson (Bill), all of Alma, GA, Jan Kicklighter (Paul) of Brunswick, GA, Sandy Wilder (Ronnie) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Debbie Malone (Henry) of Yulee, FL; a brother, Danny Hyers (Hazel), also of Yulee, FL; 15 nieces and nephews; 24 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Hall officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Alma, GA where there will be a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Eric Brown officiating.
