Obituary

Richard E. “Dick” “Bump” Gorman, 72, passed away on March 8, 2012 in Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of Judith (Munroe) Gorman with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers, he was the son of Eunice (Russell) Gorman of Danvers and the late Clarence Gorman. Richard was a life long resident of Danvers. He was employed for over 31 years as a Foreman for the Street Department of the Town of Danvers. Richard was also active with the Boy Scouts of America and assisted Troop 16 in Danvers for many years. He was an avid gardener and loving family man.
Besides his wife, Judy and his mother, Eunice, he is survived by his children, Christine Cote and her husband Wayne of Kingston, NH, Steven Gorman and his wife Verna-Jean of Danvers and John Gorman and his wife Karen of Rowley, two brothers, Robert Gorman of Epping, NH and Ronald Gorman of Haverhill, his grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan, Andrew and Laura Cote, Sydney and Harrison Gorman. He was predeceased by his brother Russell Gorman.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11AM on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Vst. Hrs will be held prior to the service on Tues. morning from 9-10:45AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Richard’s name to the Salvation Army, 93 North St., Salem, MA 01970.
