Obituary

TIFTON,GEORGIA: Frederick Ray Rogers, Sr. 70, of Tifton, Georgia and formerly of Worcester and Charlton died Friday, March 2 in his home after being stricken ill.

He leaves his wife Betty Jo (Harding) Rogers, three daughters Rae Marie Blair of Rochdale, Mae Ireland of Oxford and April White of Douglas, a son Frederick R. Rogers, Jr. of West Brookfield, a brother Rocky Rogers of Charlton City, two sisters, his twin Frances Robinson and Martha Rogers both of Stone Mountain, GA , several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his adopted brother David Martin.

Mr. Rogers was born in Andrews, North Carolina, son of Raymond and Jennie (Robinson) Rogers. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver at Silton’s Auto Parts in Framingham and later worked as a manager at New England Recycling in Worcester. He then was a long distance tractor trailer driver for Cumberland Farms and lastly was employed and retired from L & P, Inc. in Southbridge. He enjoyed playing cribbage, poker and visiting the casinos. He loved family gatherings and was delighted by the very thought of sharing times with loved ones and friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of North Oxford, 612 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours.
