Carmela (Di Mauro) Nevola, of Winchester, died Wednesday at the Winchester Hospital after a brief illness. She was 95. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Luzio and Concetta (Santangelo) DiMauro. A Winchester resident for over 50 years she had previously resided in Arlington. Carmela’s life centered on her family. She loved nothing more than to be a stay at home mom. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her husband, children and grandchildren.
The beloved wife of the late Arthur Nevola, she was a devoted mother to Arthur Nevola and his wife Susan of Lowell, Ron Nevola and his wife Nancy of Winchester, Millie Cardone and her husband Tony of Medford, and the late Marielena Nevola. She was a loving grandmother to Laura, Camille, Margaux, Christine, Michele, Bobby and the late Arthur. She also leaves four great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister to Mary Vallone of Salem, the late Pauline DiStefano, Sonny Sbriglio and Salvatore DiMauro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 thru 8 PM and to attend a funeral service celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 12th, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
