In New Bedford, Ma formerly of Raynham, March 7, 2012 Henry “Hank” W. Eayrs husband of the late Jeanette (Bondarick) Eayrs died at St. Luke’s Hospital at the age of 81. Born and educated in Boston, Henry was the son of the late Henry and Frances (Jewell) Eayrs. Brother of the late Ernest and Claire Eayrs. At a young age Henry joined the Merchant Marines and then joined the US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a retired manager for the former Grossman’s in Raynham and Attleboro. Henry was a former ROTC Instructor at Harvard and enjoyed going to the dog track and playing poker with his family and friends. He was the father of Janet Smith of Taunton, Donna Ferris of Taunton and John Eayrs of Pittsfield. Loving grandfather of five and proud great grandfather of ten. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
