Sue Bearden Griffin passed away in the arms of God, on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the age of 64. Sue was born on January 13, 1948 in Clarksville, TN.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11 AM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. John Laida officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Cunningham, TN. Visitation will be Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 1 to 4 PM and 10 AM until the hour of service Monday.
She is survived by her mother, Lucille Miracle; daughter, Misty Robertson (Montee); granddaughters, Jordan and Alexa Robertson of Clarksville; sisters, Kathy Darnell of Woodlawn, TN and Rebekah Alexander (Dennis) of Fairbanks, Alaska; brothers, Mike Bearden (Beverly) of Oxford, Alabama and Ken Miracle (Samia) of Clarksville.
As a 1966 graduate of Clarksville High School, Sue was a beloved class member who was honored with the Wildcat Spirit award by her classmates in October 2011 at their 45th reunion. She was also named the 2011 Honorary Chairperson for the American Cancer Society "Love Lights A Tree". Sue's faith and love of life was an inspiration to all who knew or met her. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed bringing a smile and laughter into each person's life that she touched.
After 30 years of service, Sue retired from Bellsouth in 2000. During her retirement, she enjoyed making crafts and working as a volunteer at the Ajax Turner Senior Center. She was an active member of First Baptist Church since she was 7 years old.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Rogers, Robert Bryant, Johnny Meacham, Phil Morris Baggett, John Moss, and George Mickle.
