Obituary

AUBURN-Roland E. “Rollie” Jarvis, 95 of 31 Pakachoag Village, formerly of 6 Hampton Street died Tuesday, April 6th in the Hospice Residence. His wife Lucille I. (Comtois) Jarvis died in 1989. He leaves 2 daughters, Gail F. Raymond of Millbury and Holly A. Oliveri-Parker of North Grafton, a sister Gladys M. Carroll of Leicester, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and his close friend Stella Boucher of Worcester.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Frederick and Agnes (Barlow) Jarvis. He was a World War 2 Navy veteran. Mr. Jarvis had been a route salesman with the John J. Nissen Baking Company for 25 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of North American Martyr Church, the Greendale Retired Men’s Club, Teamster Local 170. Mr. Jarvis was an avid bowler and was a member of teams at Thunder Bird Bowl and AMF Auburn lanes. He enjoyed golf and dancing.

The funeral is Thursday, April 8th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 AM in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 7th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
