Obituary

Richard M. “Rick” Tero, age 51, of Brockton died unexpectedly Friday March 2, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Carol Ann DeVoe of Brockton. Rick was born in Brockton and raised in Whitman, a son of Claire (Goodhue) Tero of Buzzards Bay and the late Francis Tero.
Rick was a veteran of the US Army and served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm and was a member of the Whitman VFW. His career was spent as a dispatcher and worked at Pharamerica, Jordan’s Furniture, Best Buy and Cowens Taxi. Rick loved the Patriots and playing darts. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by five children, Justin Robinson, Michael Sass, Robert DeVoe, Todd Robinson and Lisa Robinson all of Brockton; 14 grandchildren; one great grandson; a brother Paul Tero of Buzzards Bay. Also survived by his former companion Patsy Robinson of Brockton and mother in law Elizabeth A. DeVoe of Braintree.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-7pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rick may be made to his son Justin Robinson to assist with his funeral expenses.
