HUNTER, Charles L., age 90 of New Milford died peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2012. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Elizabeth L. Hunter. Devoted father of Catherine Sorrentino, Charles Jr. & his wife Joanne, Christine & her late husband Donald Cicia, Patricia Mescher, Lauraine & her husband Frank Bertero, Eileen & her husband Frank Vellozzi Hunter, Thomas & his wife Robin Hunter and Mary Didriksen and Rich King, Jr. Loving Grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.Dear brother of Dorothy Hunter, and the late Rita Goode. He was also the loving brother-in-law of Helen Libertone and is survived by his niece and 3 nephews. Charles served in the US Army during World War II having achieved the rank of Sergeant. Following his service he worked with the US State Department in Washington, DC. He later worked as a computer programmer at Western Electric as well as a teacher at NYU. Charles was also member of Sacred Heart RC Church in Haworth. Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
