Funeral services for Ginger “Jean” Smith Ivey, 62, of Rebecca, Ga. will be held Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rebecca Baptist Church with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rebecca, Ga. Mrs. Ivey died Monday from natural causes.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Tifton, Ga., the daughter of Clarence Smith of Tifton and the late Eloise Arrington Smith. She was a homemaker and housewife and a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband, Jackie Ivey; her daughter, Rebecca (Justin) Ivey-Day and granddaughter, Margaret Anne Day, all of Rebecca, Ga. Also surviving are her father, Clarence Smith and her brother, Roger (Lynn) Smith all of Tifton, Ga. and one sister Faye (Robert) Simpson, Alapaha, Ga.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
