Turpin, Ethel Mae (Ritchie), 73, passed away March 4, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was an Army veteran, a member of Highview Baptist Church and was a volunteer bowling coach for Special Olympic kids at Dixie Bowl. She retired from the VA Medical Center as a personal assistant.
Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Turpin.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Turpin (Diane) and Garry Turpin; grandchildren, Tanner, Heather, and Ashton Turpin; brother, Larry “Butch” Ritchie (Lena); sister, Louise Anderson (Earl); and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Thursday 2-8 at the funeral home.
