Helen Kelly Nealon passed peacefully surrounded by her family on March 1, 2012. Predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Katherine Kelly; beloved infant son, James; and son-in-law, John Warden. Survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Robert; sister, Mary Woodard; loving children, Robert (Kathy), Patricia Mitchell (Dave), Eugene (Jenny), and Suzanne Schilling (Kurt). Also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Bess Warden; Anna, Theresa, Louisa Schilling; Margaret Kelly, Bobby, Brigid, Molly and Annie Nealon; Connor and Kit Nealon.
Helen was born in Scranton, Pa., in 1931, where she married Robert in 1954. With their family, Helen and Robert relocated to Pittsford, N.Y., in 1963. She was respected and admired by her colleagues at St. John Fisher College for 25 years, where she worked as Director of Purchasing. She was active with the St. Louis School and Parish, and enjoyed the activities and friendships at the Southeast YMCA. She loved music, social gatherings and all things Irish, and celebrated these with family and friends. Helen will be greatly missed for her kindness, wisdom and smiling Irish eyes. May she rest in peace in God's loving arms.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home, 129 Grant Street, Olyphant, viewing to be held Wed. 4-8 p.m. Helen's memorial service and burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine Cemetery, Thurs. 11 a.m. Donations in Helen's memory may be sent to Benincasa Hospice, Mendon, N.Y.
