SOUTH ORLEANS; Therese C. (Tetreault) White, 86, of 7 Toms Hollow Lane died Saturday, March 3 at her daughter’s home where she had been living.
She was the wife of Dennis W. White who died in 2004.
She leaves two sons; Michael W. White and his wife Patricia of Langhorne, PA, Mark S. White and his wife Jane of Melrose, a daughter, Patricia A. Durgin and her husband Donnie of South Orleans, two sisters; Claire Rivers of Spencer, Celine Manseau and her husband Leon of Southbridge, a brother, Leo Tetreault and his wife Judy of Oakhill, FL, 8 grandchildren; Martin, Jason, Sybil, Gillian, Daniel, Geoffrey, Christopher, Jennifer, 11 great-grandchildren; Isabella, Ryan, Elizabeth, Cooper, Benjamin, Amamka, Rosie, Coleman, Graham, Gabriel, Gregory and many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Lucille McGrath, O’Bella Sylvestri and a brother Armand Tetreault.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Adrian & Aurore (Lamoureux) Tetreault.
Mrs. White was an assistant librarian for several years working at Assumption College in Worcester and Becker Junior College in Leicester, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of the former St. Mary’s Parish in Spencer. She enjoyed playing dominos with her friends and knitting for family and friends as well as area young homeless women.
She was fun loving, very compassionate and a great mother and grandmother.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, March 7 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St. Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
