LaPlante, William Anthony, Sr. 72, passed away peacefully following a long illness on March 1, 2012 surrounded by his loving wife & family.
Beloved husband of Betty Jane (Hill) LaPlante of Plymouth (White Cliffs), MA. Devoted father of William, Jr. and Melodie LaPlante of East Hampstead, NH, Terry Smith of Oxford, MA, T.J. and Nina LaPlante of Fiskdale, MA, Jeffrey and Donna Civetti and Caren and Kevin Tefft, all of Franklin, MA. Brother of Frederick and Beatrice LaPlante of ME, Dodie LaPlante of VT and Irene LaPlante and the late Joseph LaPlante. He also leave behind 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
Born in Somerville, MA, the son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Medeiros) LaPlante. William worked for Star Market/Shaw’s Supermarkets for over 40 years in various positions. He was an avid golfer and was active in the White Cliffs community. Bill also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Funeral will be held from the Richard Davis Funeral Home; 619 State Road (Rte 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Tuesday, March 6 at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral mass at St. Bonaventure’s Parish; 803 State Road, Plymouth at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Monday March 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Internment will be held at a later date.
