Obituary

Paula F. (Rogers) Henry, 72, of Natick and Bridgewater, N.H., passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2012 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Pierre Henry with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Brookline, the daughter of Pauline (O’Connor) Rogers of Billerica and the late William Rogers, Paula was raised in Brookline where she attended school and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She went on to earn her degree in education from Framingham State University and her graduate degree in special education from Rhode Island College. Paula retired from a career of teaching and counseling with specialties in personality dynamics, addiction and mental health, and early intervention for children with special needs. She loved nurturing the rosebushes in the front yard of her family’s Natick home for the past 38 years. Paula also enjoyed sewing, making braided rugs, and fishing. An avid skier, Paula was happiest when spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren at her home in New Hampshire.

In addition to her husband and mother, Paula is survived by her 3 devoted children, Edmund Henry and his wife Terri of Ashland, Rosemary Casey of Natick, and Theresa Carr of Natick; her cherished grandchildren, Mark Henry, Matthew Henry, Gabrielle Casey, Sean Carr, Christina Carr, Shannon Carr, and Andrew Carr; 2 brothers, William Rogers, Jr. of Upstate, NY and John Rogers of Winthrop; and her sister Debbie Haley of Billerica and NH.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Paula on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central St. Natick. At Paula’s request, visiting hours have been omitted. Her request was that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to Ovations for the Cure Of Ovarian Cancer, 251 West Central St., Suite 35, Natick, MA 01760 – www.ovationsforthecure.org
