Stephen A. Walton, 60 of Appleton, ME formerly of Plymouth, MA, passed away February 23, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Plymouth, MA on July 25, 1951, the son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Coggeshall) Walton. Brother to F. Warren Walton of TX and Jack Walton of MA. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Shamma) Walton for 22 years, father of Glenn Walton and his wife Nicole of Kingston, Ma and Sarah Walton of Plymouth, Ma. Grandfather to Meagan and Alexandria of Kingston, Ma and Ava and Cameron Drollett of Plymouth, Ma. He also left behind many close family members.
Stephen grew up in Plymouth where he worked many years for the Cemetery and Highway Department for the Town of Plymouth. He then moved to Appleton, ME where was a guard at the Maine State Prison. He loved the outdoors, gardening and enjoyed working on cars.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday March 9th from 5 to 7 PM for a celebration of his life at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth.
